Computer repair
We repair laptops and desktops of every make, in our own workshop, with our own equipment, from dust cleaning to chip resoldering.
What we repair
Laptops
Will not start, overheats, shuts down, no picture, not charging, we find the cause and fix it.
Motherboards
Component-level repair: chipset resoldering and replacement, power circuit repair.
Screens
Replacement of cracked or dark screens. Tell us the size and resolution and we will find the right panel.
Batteries and power
Batteries and power adapters for every model, charging socket repair.
Cooling and cleaning
Cleaning dust from the cooling system and fans. This is maintenance a laptop needs every 1–2 years.
Desktops
Repair, upgrades and speed-ups: more memory, an SSD, a new graphics card.
System and software
Operating system reinstall with data preserved, drivers, BIOS updates, virus removal.
And everything else
Printers, monitors, projectors, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), audio and video equipment.
A workshop, not a drop-off point
In 2008 we acquired equipment for resoldering laptop motherboard chips, one of the most common faults, which many places do not repair and instead offer to replace the whole board.
Our workshop uses soldering stations, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies and measuring instruments. So we repair not only computers but also graphics cards, wireless network devices and other electronics.
We keep spare parts in stock, so many faults are fixed without ordering parts from abroad.
How a repair works
Bring it in, or we come to you
We take computers in at Vytenio g. 10. For companies, we come on site.
Diagnostics
We identify the fault and tell you what needs replacing or repairing.
Price before work
We agree the price and timing. If the repair is not worth it, we say so and suggest a way forward.
Repair and testing
We fix it, test it and return a working computer.
How to make a laptop last longer
Overheating is the main cause of faults. A few tips from the workshop.
Not on the bed, not on a pillow
A soft surface blocks the vents. Hot air cannot escape, chips overheat and eventually lift off the board.
The fan works like a vacuum cleaner
It pulls in dust and hair that clog the heatsink. If the computer has become loud or hot, it is time for a clean.
Raise the back
A hard surface, feet or a cooling pad lets air move freely, especially for models with vents underneath.
Update the BIOS
Manufacturers often fix fan control in software. We can do the update for you.
Not worth repairing?
Sometimes a repair would cost more than the computer. Then we help move your data to a new device and can buy the old one for parts.
Tell us what happened
Call or drop in, we will tell you what can be done.
